Description:

  • Age 3-5

    Duration: 30 minutes

    Class Layout: Designed to teach coordination and strength. Dancers will be jumping, climbing, balancing, and learning how to go upside down while also getting the benefits of spatial awareness, taking turns, and responding to directions. This class does not participate in recitals.

  • Ages 3-5

    Class Duration: 45 minutes

    Class Layout: Designed to prepare young dancers with instruction of ballet, & tap techniques. At the end of the year, students will have been introduced to the basics of multiple styles of dance, the stage and terminology. text goes here

  • Ages- 6+

    Ballet is the foundation for all dancing. Ballet enhances coordination, increases strength and flexibility and develops grace and discipline. This training is the most important dance training a student will have, as it is the technical basis for all other types of formal dance.

  • Ages- 6+

    Contemporary/Lyrical dance classes will give students the opportunity to continue growing as an artist, offering various styles of contemporary/lyrical dance throughout the year. Contemporary/Lyrical will focus on creating art through communication. With a ballet foundation, contemporary and lyrical is a favorite among many dancers creating an outlet for expression.

  • Ages- 6+

    Hip Hop dance classes will give students the opportunity to continue growing as an artist, offering various styles of hip hop dance throughout the year. Hip Hop dance combines upbeat songs with quick movements similar to what you would see on an award show or movie. Cardio like movement makes the class very fast paced and a great workout!

  • Ages- 6+

    Jazz dance classes will give students the opportunity to continue growing as an artist, offering various styles of jazz dance throughout the year. Jazz will focus on isolations of the body, stretching and lengthening the muscles, and strengthening the dancers technical abilities.

  • Ages- 6+

    Acro classes focus on strength, flexibility and coordination. This class will teach your child the skills needed to execute steps from forward rolls to back handsprings and more. Acro classes are also great for skills such as aerials, front aerials, headsprings, kip-ups and more!

  • Leaps & turns class goes more in depth of specific technique skills used in dance. Specifically jumps, leaps, turns, across the floor etc. This class will provide the coordination and knowledge of how to execute and properly perform skills often seen in dance.

  • Stretch & strength class is primarily focused on condition and gaining muscle. Cardio conditioning is very important when it comes to performing and being able to execute 2-3 minute pieces on stage. Stretching the muscles are important after conditioning them, and that is included in the class.Item description

  • Flexibility training is a class geared toward gaining more flexibility in areas such as hamstrings, back, hips and more. Intense stretching and exercises will be provided to help dancers contort in more ways they never thought they could!

  • Technique class is a well rounded multi focused class diving into all elements of technique. This class will teach dancers in better detail about all forms of technique including legs, feet, turns, jumps, tricks, etc. This class will be structured to the teachers liking each week, meaning the class will constantly evolve and work on new things.

  • Pom technique classes are great for students who want to be a part of a school pom squad or on the pom team here at TVDS! Classes include training in jumps, turns, and flexibility skills needed for most all pom teams.

  • Choreography combo class provides teachers and students a new style to explore each week. Jazz, hip hop, contemporary, lyrical, and musical theater, are all styles that can be taught during this class. This is a great opportunity if you are interested in learning about all styles of dance and not wanting to try many classes, this class alone will explore every style The Vault offers!

Dress Code:

  • Athletic wear, hair pulled back.

    Shoes: barefoot or socks

  • Attire: Leotard and tights, hair pulled back.

    Shoes: Any brand of classic pink ballet shoes (ties should be knotted and then cut off) Any brand black tap shoes. These items can be purchased at black and pink!

  • Leotard with pink or tan tights. Hair pulled back.

    Shoes: Any brand of classic pink ballet shoes.

  • Athletic wear (leggings, shorts, tank tops, sports bras, etc.)

    Shoes: Pirouette shoes, jazz, shoes (can be purchased at black and pink) or barefoot

    Shoes: Any type of tennis shoes. SHOES MUST ONLY BE WORN IN THE STUDIO NO OUTSIDE SHOES PLEASE!
